Being awarded the honorary doctorate is the newest recognition for Dr. Rhymes, as he was additionally honored by the White Home with the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, which was posted on his Instagram account on Thursday, Jan. 30. The Brooklyn rapper was given the award “for his contributions to the group as a global Hip-Hop recording artist, music enterprise entrepreneur, thespian, and humanitarian.”
