A decide has dominated to reinstate the $53 million award in punitive damages to T.I. and Tiny Harris of their ongoing lawsuit towards MGA Leisure Inc. over dolls resembling the OMG Girlz.

In courtroom paperwork shared by authorized journalist Meghann Cuniff on X, Choose James V. Selna dominated to award the couple punitive damages after initially ruling towards it. This paves the way in which for the complete judgment of $71 million to be paid out.

“Upon consideration of the proof, the Courtroom grants disgorgement of earnings of $17,872,252 underneath frequent regulation misappropriation and affirms the jury’s award of punitive damages of $53,616,759.”

The brand new submitting reverses Choose Selna’s earlier ruling in January, declaring that there was not sufficient proof to show that MGA infringed on the OMG Girlz’s trademark. A jury unanimously discovered the corporate responsible in September 2024 of violating the OMG Girlz’s IP rights with its L.O.L. Shock! O.M.G. Dolls.
