New Distribution Arm “Greater Movement” Set to Convey African Tales to Screens and Communities Worldwide
This unveiling happened on the lately concluded 2025 NBO Movie Pageant, which ran from 16–26 October in Nairobi, Kenya.
Greater Movement emerges as an offshoot of the distribution wing of LBx Africa, a Nairobi-based manufacturing firm providing movie manufacturing companies throughout the East African area. Established in 2012, LBx Africa is led by Artistic Producer Bramwel Iro and Director/Producer Sam Soko.
Greater Movement will oversee the acquisition and distribution of African titles throughout a number of channels, together with cinemas, regional festivals, streaming platforms, broadcast tv, in-flight leisure, and impression pathways.
“Visibility with out entry isn’t sufficient… We’re constructing a distribution ecosystem that brings African cinema dwelling, into Cinemas, festivals, residing rooms, lecture rooms, and neighborhood areas, so these tales can spark connection, pleasure, and alter the place they matter most“, said Chloe Genga, who was named Head of Distribution and Affect on the new manufacturing firm.
Greater Movement’s launch slate contains 4 characteristic titles, all of which screened on the NBO Movie Pageant:
- How To Construct A Library (Kenya, 2025) – directed by Maia Lekow and Christopher King
- Khartoum (Sudan, 2025) -directed by Anas Saeed, Rawia Alhag, Ibrahim Snoopy Ahmad, Timeea Mohamed Ahmed, and Philip Cox
- Matabeleland (Zimbabwe, 2024) – directed by Nyasha Kadandara
- The Shadow Students (2024) – directed by Eloise King
Following its launch, Greater Movement plans to increase partnerships, develop new entry initiatives throughout the continent, and develop its launch slate. Data on distribution timelines and launch methods for every title shall be introduced quickly.
