Out Of Africa: “Black Ladies And Intercourse”, “The Fisherman” Clinch High Honours At 2025 American Black Movie Competition (ABFF)


Two African movies have clinched high prizes on the recently-concluded 2025 version of the American Black Movie Competition (ABFF).

The honours have been introduced on the Better of ABFF Awards which occurred on Saturday, 14th June, 2025.

South African movie Black Ladies and Intercourse (directed by Godisamang Khonou) received the award for Greatest Documentary Characteristic, whereas Ghanaian comedy characteristic The Fisherman (directed by Zoey Martinson) received two awards on the day – Greatest Narrative Characteristic and Greatest Director.
