Morgan State’s Chief Income Officer, Sterling Steward Has Died

Morgan State College has introduced that its Senior Affiliate Athletics Director and Chief Income Officer, Sterling Steward, has died.

No reason for loss of life was revealed, however the faculty acknowledged his contributions since he was employed in December 2022.

Steward died on Feb. 26. At Morgan State, he was accountable for advancing the college’s packages, fostering partnerships, and strengthening the division’s monetary and operational success.

“Sterling was greater than a colleague—he was a revered chief, mentor, and good friend,” stated Dena Freeman-Patton, vp and director for Intercollegiate Athletics, in a written assertion. “His ardour for athletics and his dedication to elevating Morgan’s packages had been evident in all that he did. He labored tirelessly to make sure our student-athletes had the sources and alternatives to excel, and his affect will probably be felt for years to come back.
