Sinners, the hit horror movie from director Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan, is ready in Mississippi within the small city of Clarksdale. Clarksdale, which doesn’t have its personal movie show, will host a particular screening of the movie this summer time, in response to stories.

TMZ stories that Clarksdale, a predominantly Black city of just below 15,000 residents, is the place Sinners takes place. The closest main metropolis to Clarksdale is Memphis, which is about 76 miles to the north. The city doesn’t have a movie show, so some residents have made the almost 90-minute trek to Memphis and past to see the movie.
This summer time, it seems that the city’s fortunes are altering. Mayor Chuck Epsy informed TMZ that his facet has spoken with Warner Bros. to carry Sinners to the city. Epsy says that the plan is to host a Juneteenth screening at Clarksdale Excessive Faculty’s soccer discipline and maybe a panel that includes the celebrities, together with director Ryan Coogler, Wunmi Mosaku, and extra.
