Danielle has to remain alive with assist from loyal Secret Service Agent Ruiz (Ramón Rodríguez), and discover a technique to rescue her household.

What Works Effectively: Antony Starr would have made for an efficient antagonist had his character obtained any consideration past cartoon stage villainy.

What Does Not Work As Effectively: An atrocious mash-up of Air Power One, Die Laborious, and Olympus Has Fallen, this limp effort wallows in muddy visuals, motion scenes edited into incomprehensible fragments, and farcical set-pieces that includes a politician mowing down baddies with an assault rifle then defeating burly skilled troopers in hand-to-hand fight. The premise is ludicrous sufficient to creep into unintentional satire, not helped by rudimentary writing and wide-eyed performing.

Key Quote:

Serena (referring to her mother, the President): She’s form of a badass.
