Synopsis: Artwork gallery proprietor Andy Goodrich (Michael Keaton) is shocked when his second spouse Naomi checks herself into rehab. Left alone to look after his younger twin youngsters, Andy seeks assist from his grown daughter from his first marriage Grace (Mila Kunis). Now married and pregnant, Grace is resentful that Andy was an absentee father, however step by step their relationship thaws. Together with his enterprise struggling and the way forward for his marriage unclear, Andy has lots to juggle.
What Does Not Work As Properly: The sentimentality needle leans strongly to the precise, resulting in the queasiness of self-congratulatory extra. Whereas Andy’s usually self-serving pronouncements (and lack of ability to cease complicated the names of his daughters) trace at his shortcomings, he’s by no means offered as something aside from an honest good man. Grace’s protestations and frustrations a couple of short-changed childhood are restricted to inform, do not present, relegating her passive aggressiveness to the get-over-it classification.
