André 3000 can be honored with an honorary Physician of Music diploma from Berklee Faculty of Music.
The distinguished award can be bestowed upon the rapper throughout Berklee’s 2025 graduation at Boston College’s Agganis Area on Could 10.
Berklee Faculty of Music will acknowledge André 3000 for his decades-long impression on music and tradition.
The award comes on the heels of the announcement that the nine-time Grammy winner can be inducted into the Rock Corridor of Fame alongside Antwan “Massive Boi” Patton.
In 2023, he launched New Blue Solar, his first solo album in twenty years. The experimental, flute-driven mission broke new floor, turning into the primary instrumental album to chart on the Billboard 200.
Its opening observe, “I Swear, I Actually Needed to Make a ‘Rap’ Album However This Is Actually the Means the Wind Blew Me This Time,” set a document because the longest track to debut on the Billboard Sizzling 100.
The Atlanta native rose to prominence as one-half of the genre-shifting Hip-Hop duo OutKast.
