Secretary of State Marco Rubio introduced Wednesday that the U.S. will start aggressively revoking visas for Chinese language college students as a part of a broader effort to tighten nationwide safety and safeguard mental property.

“Below President Donald Trump’s management, the U.S. State Division will work with the Division of Homeland Safety to aggressively revoke visas for Chinese language college students, together with these with connections to the Chinese language Communist Social gathering or learning in vital fields,” Rubio wrote in an announcement. 

The State Division will even revise its visa standards to extend scrutiny for all future purposes from people in China and Hong Kong.

The transfer follows the introduction of the Cease CCP VISAs Act in March by Home Republicans, aimed toward blocking perceived infiltration by the Chinese language Communist Social gathering in educational establishments.
