Breeze Airways now not plans to start service between Eugene and Burbank, a spokesperson for Breeze confirmed Nov. 21.
Breeze spokesperson McKinnley Matson advised The Register-Guard Breeze “sometimes want(s) to make changes to (its) schedule with a purpose to maximize (its) restricted sources.” Matson stated such cuts are uncommon and Breeze “won’t be able to start service in EUG as deliberate in the meanwhile.” The airline would possibly revisit the choice sooner or later, Matson stated.

Breeze, a Utah-based, low-cost home airline, operates greater than 300 year-round and seasonal routes to 76 cities in 34 states. It started working commercially in 2021.

The Eugene-Burbank connection would have been Breeze Airways’ first providing at EUG. Breeze beforehand introduced it could start service in March 2026. It made the announcement after Avelo Airways pulled out of EUG and different West Coast airports. Avelo’s remaining flight out of Eugene was on Oct. 20.
Alaska Airways added a competing flight between Eugene and Hollywood Burbank Airport that started service Oct. 26.
