That authenticity with the story, once more, Stella, who has been with us from Tiana’s Bayou Journey from day one, getting us grounded in order that we knew that we’re telling a narrative that basically expresses the essence, the wonder, the glory, the magic of New Orleans and her mom’s imaginative and prescient and journey. So that is the why. It is an incredible story that everyone wants to listen to. We open up March of 2026 on the Indianapolis Youngsters’s Museum (1:51) and we’ll be there by way of December of 2026, after which it begins touring across the nation.
Tiana’s a implausible character. Disney has a whole lot of tales, and Tiana’s getting such unimaginable therapy, traction, and now this exhibit. So what particularly made WDI and Disney say, that is the princess that wants this a lot publicity?
Carmen Smith: Effectively, I feel, as I used to be wanting on the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Journey, my colleague Sharita Carter was with me as we have been watching households undergo. Once I noticed individuals coming off the attraction, some in tears, whether or not they have been white, black, Latino, South Asian, one thing moved me to say that this can be a character that folks establish with. Her attributes are ones that all of us need or aspire to have, whether or not it is kindness, thoughtfulness, a way of household and neighborhood.
